Favorite thing about FIT4MOM: Stroller Strides makes exercising FUN! I actually look forward to going every morning. Not only do I have a blast each day, but Denley and I get to spend time with our favorite friends. It has been so wonderful to find such a great group of friends. <3
When did you join FIT4MOM? October 2017
What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home? Before I had Denley, I taught at our local Catholic school back in FL where I was most recently a Pre-K teacher. But now, I am a stay at home mom and I love it!
What is your favorite food? Southern cookin! Shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles…I’m getting hungry just typing this!
What is your favorite beverage? Coffee! It gives me that extra motivation to get out of bed in the mornings.
What is your favorite book? My favorite children’s book is “Little Sweet Potato” by Amy Bloom and any of Natasha Wing’s “The Night Before” books.
You are given four free hours of babysitting, what would you do? I would schedule a mani, pedi, and massage!
What is your dream kid free vacation? I would LOVE to go to Vatican City!!
What is your dream family vacation? I am actually trying to talk my husband into driving an RV to Disneyland. Being from Florida, we have been to Disneyworld about a million times so I would love to go to Disneyland for the first time. It would also be Denley’s first Disney visit! Cross your fingers my persuasion skills work!
How has becoming a mother changed you? Being a mother has changed me in so many ways, however, I appreciate my body SO much more after having Denley. I may not physically look like I used to, and that’s okay! My body gave life to my favorite human being EVER and for that, I will always be grateful!
Fondest childhood memory? When I was a little girl, my dad and I were part of a dad/daughter organization called Indian Princesses, which was a club that promoted dads and daughters spending time together. We were part of the “Fox Tribe”. I always remember having SO much fun at the twice yearly campouts. We slept in tents, ate s’mores, played in the dirt, and had the BEST time!
Your favorite "go to" family friendly recipe? It used to be tacos but I made them so often that we all got sick of seeing them on the menu. So now, my go to is anything that I can do in the Crock Pot. Its so easy. I’ve gotten really good at chili which is perfect for these cold months!
